65th-Reunion

What a beautiful Fall Day it was for our 65th. Many commented on the spectacular color of turning leaves as they drove to the reunion.

Although we had hoped for a larger turnout, those present were pleased with our time together and were happy that they attended. One attendee described our time together as "delicious". We are aware of so many dealing with medical issues that make it difficult to attend such an event and our thoughts were with them.

The first hour had everyone spending time in fellowship and greeting one another and partaking items from the large appetizer platters that were presented.

So not to forget our next priority was to take our “class” picture ** and an "all present" picture. Thanks to Norm for being our event photographer as he is at all our luncheons.
The buffet dinner followed and received many positive comments. Williams gave us excellent service and provided "take home" containers after the meal that allowed many of us some excellent contents for a future "at home" meal.

We honored classmates that have passed away by somberly reading the now long list of names. There was an eleven question trivia sheet given to attendees with questions pertaining to class of '59 facts and some relating to the June '59 Argus. The correct answers turned out to be elusive with many surprising answers.

Door prizes included the very decorative pumpkin center pieces and some fabulous framed pictures of Bald Eagles over Crystal Lake taken and generously donated by Norm.

We concluded our time together by singing the Alma Mater, Glory to Gardner and Auld Lang Syne. It was sad to part ways, especially since this was most likely the last 5yr reunion. The good news is that we will continue to schedule our Spring and Fall luncheons.
